Integrative Thinking for Executives

Update: The dates for 2011 are April 14-16 and October 20-22.

I’m often asked how people can learn more about integrative thinking and how they can develop their own integrative thinking abilities, short of coming to Rotman for an MBA. The short answer is this: Rotman’s Integrative Thinking Program. The program, which I developed with my colleague Jennifer Riel, is a three-day primer on integrative thinking. The next two offerings are April 22-24 and October 28-30.

You can learn more about our approach by watching our short video, How to Solve Wicked Problems Using Integrative Thinking.

  1. In the Asian century, the book titled: Fixing the Game by Prof. Dean Roger L. Martin highlights a well known problem on the comparative advantages and disadvantages, demonstrated by the conscious and unconscious minds superposition during the strategy search process by global leaders. In my opinion, in the age of turbulence, when the vortex of economic crisis spreads globally, Prof. Dean Roger L. Martin explains how the integrative co-lateral thinking can help the global leaders to create the strategic choice architecture, select the wise strategy and make the optimal decisions on the strategy implementation towards the financial stability, wealth accumulation and social prosperity.
