You never know what is going to show up on the Internet but today I got the most pleasant surprise. A very clever Indiana University student named Jay Steele created a Prezi to summarize pictorially the first chapter of The Design of Business. It is so stunningly good that it blew me away. Check it out. As my grandmother used to say when she saw someone impressive: That boy is going to go far! So it will be with Jay. You have to view his one page, interconnected summary of the book.
Great presentation. Loved the zooming. WOuld be a great way to present design thinking in the classroom…well done!

Roger,
Jay’s use of a single page presentation with this medium reminds of a Buckminster Fuller quote, “we don’t need to invent new materials, we just need to use what we have to innovate solutions”.

I’ll have to pat Jay on the back here, since I couldn’t figure out how on his website. Very nice!
I’d like some music to go with the flow for a full sensory experience though. Beautiful visual summary. Thanks for sharing!

@zh – Thanks for the kind words. The link that Roger included goes to the Prezi website, which is not mine. There is a way to add a comment but it is not the “traditional” method.
Totally agree with you on the music addition. The application creates a flash file. I will have to expand my technical competence to add the audio element.
I plan to generate prezis for the other chapters. I have actually been meaning to do it for some time. When I do you can find them on my blog at http://jaysteele360.com
